1. About the Service
SahaytaLegal is an AI-powered legal productivity platform designed for legal professionals in India. Our services include judgment summarization, document drafting, and case status tracking.
SahaytaLegal does not provide legal advice. Our platform is a productivity tool. All legal judgment, interpretation, and advice remains the sole responsibility of the legal professional using our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and a legal professional or law student to use our platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our AI models
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform
- Share your account access with unauthorized users
- Misrepresent AI-generated output as your own original legal analysis to courts
5. Intellectual Property
The SahaytaLegal platform, including its AI models, interface, and branding, is owned by us. Documents you upload remain your property. AI-generated summaries and drafts are provided for your use but do not transfer any intellectual property rights in our underlying technology.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
- Free tier features are available without payment
- Paid plans are billed monthly and auto-renew unless cancelled
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and exclusive of applicable GST
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
- Refunds are provided at our discretion for unused portions of the billing period
7. AI Output Disclaimer
Our AI-generated summaries, drafts, and other outputs are provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy or completeness. AI can make errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all output before use in any legal proceeding or professional context.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SahaytaLegal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. We will provide you an opportunity to export your data before permanent deletion.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
